Providing multidisciplinary clinical care to female athletes

The Wu Tsai Female Athlete Program is part of the Sports Medicine Division at Boston Children’s Hospital, and provides leading, multidisciplinary care to female athletes. We take a comprehensive approach to treating the female athlete, evaluating aspects such as nutrition, exercise habits, hormonal health, and mental health, rather than just injuries and symptoms, to ensure optimal health and performance.

“We want to give female athletes the tools to train smarter, fuel better, and enjoy the process.”

— Dr. Kathryn Ackerman, Wu Tsai Female Athlete Program Director
